She has great recommendations to make your home sell for more and is very patient and thorough when dealing with you as the seller and potential buyers. Where do I start? Gennifer is absolutely amazing. We met with her in May of 2011 to get information on the value of our house, as we weren’t sure it was the right time for us to sell. She spent quite a bit of time with us during that first visit, as she brought her with a lot of information about comps in the area, what are house was worth with no work done to it, if we did some work, or what we could do to get the best selling price. Since that first meeting, we were sold on her ability. For months after that, even before we officially listed our house, she was very responsive to questions, provided a lot of information to help us make decisions. When we listed our house with her in September, she told us our house would “sell in 7 to 10 days,” and she was right! She was so helpful and went above and beyond with everything she did during the selling process. She was amazing to work with. She even helped us buy new construction at that same time and without her I don’t think we would’ve been able to handle the process on our own. She is so incredibly knowledgable. I would recommend anybody and everybody to use Gennifer for all their real estate needs. She is simply the best!

We recently relocated to the Nashville area from Minneapolis. While a long-distance move is challenging enough, we were very fortunate to select Gennifer as our realtor. Over a period of a few years we noticed Gennifer’s signs go up and quickly back down throughout our neighborhood. When we decided to sell our home we brought her in for an initial interview. At our first meeting Gennifer had already put together an impressive amount of research about our home related to putting it on the market. She laid out a complete plan for what it would take to successfully sell our home including proper preparation and staging of our house, appropriate pricing, and intelligent timing to list.
Once we committed to Gennifer as our agent she brought in a professional stager to go through the house with us which was tremendously helpful (especially in mitigating some of the husband/wife “discussions” about what should go to storage and where the couch should be positioned) 🙂 Gennifer used a sneak preview strategy with her contacts with other agents to build early interest and was actually able to sell our home 2 days before we officially listed at a very good price. She also helped us negotiate very favorable timing with the buyers to help us through the transition.
We were so impressed with our experience with Gennifer we asked her to help us find a new home. She patiently showed us more homes than I can remember and was always very mindful to stay within our wish list as much as possible. She never took us to a home that we didn’t specifically ask to see that was out of our set price range or that was a waste of time. Gennifer was also excellent with our little girl while we looked at house after house. There was more than once that she played with our daughter in a back yard while my wife and I took a little more time in a house or discussed details.
Once we found a home we could all agree on Gennifer’s negotiation skills and overall abilities made the deal happen. Unfortunately we were faced with an agent on the other side that was lacking significantly in experience and without Gennifer’s knowledge and persistence the deal simply would not have happened.
We are very happy in our new home and have no regrets about the entire process. Not only have we gained a new friend but Gennifer has certainly earned the right to call us future clients when we take this adventure on again.

Gennifer is amazing! She is extremely experienced, knowledgeable, and a true professional. My family was honored to be able to work with her on selling a property, and purchasing 3 other properties. One thing that impressed us, right off the bat, was how she would look at properties “with you”  instead of just trying to sell you everything you saw. Recently we listed our home for sale with Gennifer Mallard. Two days after the home hit the market it sold. It was not a hot market that sold the home. It sold because of Gennifer’s prep work, analysis and strategy. We had listed our home the previous summer; but I listed it in August, which was too late, priced it to high and then the market slumped. Few people looked at our home and there were no offers.
My neighbor, a very sharp businesswoman recommended we try Gennifer. So in April we relisted with Gennifer who is the General George Patton of relators. Within a day we had an outstanding comparative analysis of the true worth of our home compared to the homes we had to compete against. We also had an analysis of what homes were being built within three-miles of our home, what features they had and the price at which they would be listed.
Gennifer also gave us, what I always insisted on in business, a strategy. She told us when to sell, how to get the best price and how to stage the home for sale. Gennifer gave me a list of thirty items in the home that needed repair or needed to be spruced up. None were really expensive. Some, at first seemed silly. Replace the front door knob. I know the front door is the first focus of a buyer as they enter the home, but really. We could not believe how much better the home looked with new hardware on the front door and as we made the series of changes Gennifer suggested. It was the beginning of a mini-face lift for the home.
We followed General Gennifer’s “advice” on staging the home for sale, cut the furniture by a quarter, moved my office from upstairs to the never used living room downstairs. By the time we were finished we did not want to leave. But we did not need a five-bedroom home with a large yard.
After a month of preparation we listed the home on a Saturday, we had eight people look at the home. More on Sunday and sold it on Monday, after receiving several offers.
So the home did not sit on the market without any lookers and worse without any offers. The home sold in two days.
Our favorite part of the process was working with Gennifer in staging the home. By moving furniture to different rooms and some painting the home took on a new glamor. Friends would come to the home and marvel at the freshness of its appeal.
I am a lawyer by training, have handle thousands of cases and transactions during a forty-year career as a corporate lawyer and if I were recommending Gennifer to a friend, I would say she is one of the business persons I have ever met. And believe me selling a home is a business. She is more than the George Patton of real estate. Gennifer navigates you thought the intricacies of selling one of your most valuable assets. You will not get blind-sided. She is a miracle worker. Try her and if you do not agree, I will buy you dinner.
Oh yes. We will “close” with this. We did not want to buy another home; we wanted to rent a home in a planned community. Gennifer found the home and we leased it for four years, under a lease she negotiated.
